Previous Artwork > Immortality

Lawrence Weschler’s book about Robert Irwin, Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees, and Milan Kundera’s writings, led me to further explore the use of text, meaning, and space. The series “Immortality” consists of four panels with variations in what is legible. The disappearance of letterforms, like the erasure of history, changes the meaning. The painting “The Writer” is part of a triptych about relationships, a painting and sound installation currently in progress.
