Lake Michigan
Chicago oversees Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes, the largest grouping of fresh water bodies on Earth. Formed by glacial activity, the shores of Lake Michigan have provided me with wondrous days of rock and fossil collecting. People see the lake each day, but few stop to really look at it. Filled with vast amounts of rocks, fossils, and natural wonders spanning millions of years of evolution, Lake Michigan is a source of endless information.

I attempt to capture the emotion of the lake water and the inquisitiveness of its treasures and history. This series of drawings and paintings is currently in progress.
